31 August Public Holiday, In connection with Urs of renowned Sufi poet and philosopher Hazrat Bulleh Shah, Deputy Commissioner Captain (r) Aurangzeb Haider Khan announced a public holiday in Kasur district on August 31, 2024. The three-day-long urs starting from August 30 would include cultural and spiritual programs with poetry recitals, musical performances, and congregations.
It enables the residents of Kasur to participate in the events fully and attracts visitors from all over Pakistan. This was officially announced by DC Kasur based on a notification that the event is of immense importance for communal and spiritual unity.
