A report in ARY News has stated that Lahore’s Senior Superintendent of Police Investigations, SSP Dr Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, has been transferred to the Central Police Office (CPO) on an official notification. The Chief Secretary has given the order to immediately release her from their duties in Punjab and report to the federal government.
Dr. Anoosh, SSP Investigations for more than a year, was rewarded for commitment and diligence while trying to advance complex criminal investigations and enhance efficiency in the department. She was one of the most well-admired members of the force during significant criminal cases and her contribution to modernized policing methods.
In her stead, Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Finance Mohammad Naveed has been appointed the new SSP Investigation Lahore. AIG Naveed is expected to bring oversight from finance for more streamlined and resource-efficient approaches to operations-investigations.
This move is a part of the overall administrative strategy in Punjab Police seeking to build professionalism. Dr. Anoosh’s transfer may be another step forward in reforming as the federal government aims to strengthen security and modernization of policing in every region.
It was through her work that police officers are seen as a legacy for the period she spent here at her work towards providing Lahore with an approach to further thinking in law enforcement.
