Pakistan has a big question mark ahead of the third test against England, scheduled to start on October 24, at Rawalpindi. Left-arm pacer Mir Hamza is still battling a niggle in his right glute, meaning he may not fully be available for this all-important game. Hamza hasn’t been able to train completely, so his fitness for the decider remains a huge question mark.

Pakistan’s Hamza spent Tuesday’s practice session on rehabilitation work rather than bowling, doing glute-strengthening exercises including resistance band drills under the supervision of physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon. It was the second consecutive practice session without bowling him after he sat out Monday, Pakistan’s first at the Rawalpindi ground.

And whereas the series has remained level at 1-1, the third Test at Rawalpindi promises to be an interesting contest. The first match played in Multan was fought over when England triumphed by an innings and 47 runs, whereas a setback in its pocket in the second Test against Pakistan, who won by 152 runs. All eyes now at Rawalpindi are on both the teams as they gear up for a stiff clash to win the series.
