Speaking on the Zee Switch YouTube channel, Yograj expressed his anger towards Dhoni, stating, “I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He is a big cricketer, but what he did to my son can never be forgiven. He should see his face in the mirror.”

Yograj, who played one Test and six ODIs for India, has been a regular critic of Dhoni. His latest comments have once again kicked up a storm with the remarks going viral on social media in no time.

Earlier this year, Yograj also blamed Dhoni for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) loss in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). He alleged that Dhoni’s jealousy towards Yuvraj Singh, who was named the ambassador of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, played a role in CSK’s failure. “CSK lost IPL 2024 because of Dhoni’s bad deeds. He didn’t even shake hands with Yuvraj, and that’s why they failed this year,” Yograj claimed in a viral video.

MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, remains a prominent figure in Indian cricket. Although retired, Dhoni has continued to represent CSK in IPL but his future in the lucrative tournament remains uncertain.

Having played his swan song in the year 2019, Yuvraj Singh has had a rich cricketing career, starring as the architect of India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the World Cup in 2011. It has always been Yograj’s belief that his son’s career was sabotaged at the hands of the aforesaid helmsman, and he has vociferated these feelings on more than one occasion.

In this regard, his recent comment has once again ignited the ongoing debate about how close Dhoni and Yuvraj’s relations have been from the fans’ and cricket enthusiasts’ perspective.
