IDEAS 2024: Pakistan on Tuesday unveiled its 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar that was inaugurated on November 19 in Karachi. More than 55 countries will be represented by defense professionals, who will congregate there. The event, scheduled for November 22, has put Pakistan’s rising defense capabilities in technology on full display, from the basic Fatah-1 rocket through modern firearms and drones to the high-tech advanced JF-17 Block 3 aircraft. The exhibition this year also had substantial international participation with a special UK pavilion featuring big names such as Airbus Defence and Space and MBDA. Defending firms, and others, displayed the latest innovations in defense technologies to better enhance the role of the event as a global platform for collaboration.
Thus, IDEAS 2024 has been a salient focus point for military, industrial, and political leadership to discourse defense innovation as well as strategic partnerships. And whereas the exhibition revolved around high-tech equipment, the event was even more focused on building better international relationships.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council of Pakistan was a significant feature in the current year event, which as such is a key driver and facilitator in international defense ties. Efforts by SIFC were central in bringing on board global players in defense and creating an opportunity for bilateral collaborations.
The organizers wished to thank all visitors who came and believe the event is a critical step forward toward building stronger defense partnerships. “Throughout the exhibition, these visitors continue to indulge in meaningful discussions aimed at accelerating defense technologies and enhancing international cooperation in the pursuit of global security.”
