Babar Azam is considered one of the best batsmen in modern cricket known for his graceful batting style and remarkable consistency in all formats of the game. He was born in Lahore in 1994, Babar’s rise through Pakistan’s domestic cricket led to his international debut in 2015. Over the years he has become a key player in the national team praised for both his batting skills and cover drive. In 2019 he was appointed as captain of Pakistan’s limited-overs teams and eventually took over the Test captaincy as well. Under his leadership, Pakistan achieved several significant victories, including series wins against South Africa and the West Indies. Previously he stepped down as the captain of the Pakistan Cricket team but at that time the newly appointed Chairman of the PCB Zaka Ashraf reappointed him as a captain. But things don’t go well like that and recently he again shared the news of stepping down as captain of the Pakistan cricket team on his social media handles. He wrote:

“Dear Fans, I’m sharing some news with you today. I have decided to resign as captain of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, effective from the time I notified the PCB and Team Management last month. It has been an honour to lead this team, but it’s time for me to step down and focus on my role as a player. Captaincy has been a rewarding experience, but it has added a significant workload. I want to prioritize my performance, enjoy my batting, and spend quality time with my family, which brings me joy. By stepping down, I hope to gain clarity moving forward and focus more energy on my game and personal growth.
