Bain & Company announced that Francisco Sepúlveda will join the firm as a partner. The appointment marks a key milestone in the expansion strategy of the firm in the Iberian market, which Bain has been pursuing to bring excellence and innovation in strategic consulting to Spain and Portugal.

Ignacio Otero, managing partner for Spain and Portugal, described the importance of the appointment saying “This is an important step in our mission to foster growth and continuous development.”

Sepúlveda has been working for Bain & Company since 2013 and was recognized internationally due to his activities in the offices of the company in Madrid, Lisbon, Dubai, and Los Angeles. His experience has included impressive accomplishments in industrial and private equity sectors, primarily in transformation projects, M&A, and strategic development operations in strategic regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States.

Meanwhile, in Chile’s Maule Region, regional leaders are moving to meet a critical need to improve banking service infrastructure. Congressman Alexis Sepúlveda met with Mayors from Pencahue, Empedrado, Molina, and San Rafael as well as BancoEstado Vice President Verónica Kunze to review the expansion of financial service coverage in those localities.

Mayor Felipe Méndez of the city of Molina demanded to have the new BancoEstado Express branch inaugurated in the said city with almost 25,000 populations who face a major problem in travel just to access and accomplish banking operations, while mayors from other local towns and municipalities required the banks to expand facilities, or for its first construction so that elders that rely on them can more be served properly.
