PTI Islamabad Jalsa
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur recently berated the commissioner for canceling the NOC for the Islamabad rally despite being cleared by the courts. He termed it an illegal move at the behest of the federal government. Mr. Gandapur has called PTI supporters in general and those from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular to join him at Swabi Interchange as he leads the rally. He said he was determined to hold the jalsa, come what may, and asked the people of Pakistan to reach Tarnol for a political show of strength. He termed the rally a moment of utmost importance in resistance against the denial of basic rights and vowed again that they would work ceaselessly to get Imran Khan released.
Ali Amin Gandapur is one of the most outspoken and daring leaders of PTI, presently serving as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has always been leading from the front in every respect. He played an important role in PTI for organizing and mobilizing people on different occasions related to the party’s causes and rallies. He has remained one of the most loud-mouthed critics of the federal government whenever any of its policies and decisions conflicted with the interests of his party or his leader, Imran Khan.
His reign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been dotted with both political confrontation and grassroots engagement as he often marshals supporters on causes he feels threaten democratic rights. More recently, he has been at the forefront of protests and resistance by the PTI against what he sees as federal overreach to muzzle the party’s voice.
Outside of his political life, Gandapur has been part and parcel of several controversies associated with being confrontational during speech and with highly sharp rhetoric. To his support base, however, he is a committed leader who is at the forefront of fighting for PTI’s agenda, and when troubles come knocking, he does not easily yield; they have named him the voice for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
