American actor Dylan Arnold, known for his work on Halloween and You, features in the indie drama Born to Lose, Joseph Zentil’s first feature. The movie centers around Andy Logan, a young biker trying to survive the dark legacy left behind by his father and facing an ever-increasing amount of debt to a local gangster. To get himself out of trouble, Andy must race to restore an old motorcycle while finding the family secrets and fighting his sense of identity.
The cast also features James Le Gros as Jed Duncan, Andy’s reluctant mentor, Ambyr Childers as his troubled sister Julie Logan, Sarah Pidgeon as his on-off girlfriend Tabitha, and Shane Callahan as Roddy, the local gangster. Pierce Csurgo, Zentil, and Eric J. Kinsey wrote the screenplay.
The film Born to Lose is set in Paducah, Kentucky. Currently, the film is being produced. The movie is based on Zentil and Csurgo’s life experiences, and the plot includes intricate father-son relationships, a love for vintage motorcycles, and small-town American life intricacies.
Producers are Csurgo and Zentil of Strange Customs, and Tom Putnam and Brett Woodall of Commonwealth Creative Entertainment. The executive producers are Michele Silva-Neto, and Matty Matheson from The Bear, among others. This film promises to bring a true coming-of-age story with personal as well as universal struggles.
