Los Angeles, CA – In a stunning revelation sending shockwaves throughout the world of entertainment, the talented members of Linkin Park have announced that Emily Armstrong, who fronts the band Dead Sara, is now their co-lead vocalist. The announcement was made from the stage of a live performance event on Thursday, in which the band also announced the addition of Colin Brittain as the new drummer; he has worked with G Flip and One OK Rock, among others.

It was also the launchpad for the band’s first single in seven years, “The Emptiness Machine.” The song is the lead single for their highly anticipated album From Zero, due November 15 via Warner Records. It’s the band’s first full-length since 2017’s One More Light, which arrived two months before the death of former lead singer Chester Bennington.

Speaking about the inspiration for the album title, Mike Shinoda said, “Before Linkin Park, our band name was Xero. This album title represents a full-circle moment in creative and real life and the journey we’re on now. It sonically and emotionally speaks of the past, the present, and the future.”

The addition of Armstrong and Brittain completes the lineup with long-time members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn, who launch their From Zero world tour on September 11, 2024, in Los Angeles before embarking on a string of major cities across the globe, including New York, London, and Seoul.

Shinoda says about the new lineup, “We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together.” Pre-sales for the tour go on sale via fan club presale on September 6 and general sales on September 7.

This was hot on the heels of their announcement earlier this year of the release of Papercuts, a Singles Collection spanning 2000 to 2023, including some of their biggest works: “In the End” and “Numb/Encore.” Both new and old fans alike have been holding their breath for this next phase in the band’s illustrious career.
