First Aid Beauty launched a nationwide recall of its Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer Cream over the discovery of a manufacturing rule violation. According to the FDA, the Class II recall will likely pose only temporary or medically reversible health issues; however, severe consequences are not expected.
The recall was announced on December 23 for 2,756 jars of Ultra Repair Cream. It has lot numbers 24D44 and 24D45, with an expiration date of April 10 and 11, 2026. The FDA claims that the recall was based on the unintentional shipment of products that should have been placed in quarantine. That is against the CGMP rules.
A recall is defined by the FDA as the removal or correction of a product that does not meet safety or regulatory standards. Such a classification means that Class II entails risks of adverse effects but has low risks of causing severe harm.
First Aid Beauty insists that corrective measures are underway to avoid future occurrences of such cases because its popular skincare products are widely featured on social media.
Consumers are cautioned to look for the following batch codes on their product packaging. All who possess the recalled moisturizer will find additional information at FDA.gov or directly from the recalling distributor.
Food items that have been contaminated and firearm accessory labels that are improper have been recalled in consumer products recently. The FDA reminds manufacturers of the critical role they play in protecting public health through adherence to robust safety standards.
This recall will make one call for more attention when using skincare products since minor changes in manufacturing can compromise both safety and effectiveness.
