Pakistan’s Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has taken a significant step towards renovation as new LED floodlights have been installed for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The stadium was already undergoing the demolition process of the floodlights on three of the six towers. The remaining still undergoes the removal process. The near future for this stadium is equipping each tower with six new floodlights made of LED, in the hope of saving energy resources.

In addition to the lighting, two modern screens will also be installed at the venue to provide an enhanced experience for the fans during the eight-team tournament. Halfway through the renovation, Gaddafi Stadium is in the process of becoming one of the world’s most modern venues.

Naqvi also met with the officials of Frontier Works Organization and discussed the blueprints of the project. He stated that there should be more parking space and the exterior of the stadium should be enhanced so that it is visually attractive.

The PCB chairman termed this an important task for the completion of upgradation before the Champions Trophy, in which both players and fans will enjoy state-of-the-art facilities. “The stadium is now set to become world-class,” said Naqvi while highlighting efforts to raise the venue to international standards.
