IC 814 kandahar hijack

IC 814 Kandahar hijack: There is a cacophony in the name of a new, highly-anticipated series based on the infamous IC 814 Kandahar hijack. Pipped by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava, the series comes alive with the tension that took place during December 1999 when militants hijacked the Indian Airlines Flight, IC 814, en route to Kandahar in Afghanistan. The series searches how a seven-day-long siege took center stage and culminated in the highly unpopular decision of the Indian government to release three militants in exchange for the hostages.

The ensemble cast boasts of different sets of actors such as Devas Dixit and Balram Singh, who is a pivotal character throughout three episodes. Other power-packed performances come from Harry Parmar, a doctor; Ellie Flory Fawcett as Kathy, a news reporter; and Ujjwal Gauraha as Major Mallik. Karan Desai plays co-pilot Sunil Sachdeva, Kunal Chopra enacts Bhola, and Titiksha Shrivastava plays the role of a Kashmiri passenger. The ensemble also includes veterans like Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, and Pankaj Kapur, lending more depth and heft to the series.

Written with director Anubhav Sinha and co-writers Adrian Levy, Saumya Tiwari, and Nikhil Ravi, the series promises to be an engrossing story of the crisis-true to facts while considering its emotional and geopolitical edges. The show is bound to strike a chord with the viewers because it shows how resilient the people of India are during one of the biggest crises ever viewed by the country. The series has gained huge attention and is predicted to be the biggest success so far. It has already built anticipation among people before its release later this year.
