India’s recent defeat at Pune did not dilute Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s chances much as he moved up to the third position in the ICC Test rankings with 790 points from his innings of 30 and 77. England’s Joe Root continues on top with 903 points while New Zealand’s Kane Williamson holds the second spot with 813 points. With Jaiswal, the fourth spot now belongs to England’s Harry Brook.
Saud Shakeel of Pakistan, too, scored heavily he leaped 20 places to seventh after making a hundred in Rawalpindi. New Zealander Rachin Ravindra gained entry into the top ten on the merit of his recent good shows, while South African Kyle Verreynne was featured as the biggest climber by his hundred leapfrogging him from a position of 46th into 32nd.
However, Indians in Stalwarts went backward. Rishabh Pant came down from the 6th to 11th place, while Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are now placed 14th and 24th respectively. The only Indian who still holds his spot within the top ten of the Test batsmen’s list is Jaiswal.

Kagiso Rabada of South Africa has topped the bowling table with incredible figures. The third position is grabbed by India’s Jasprit Bumrah. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood climbs up to the second place while Ravichandran Ashwin’s five-wicket haul sees him at the fourth position.
