More of the stars who trod the red carpet at the historic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on November 9, 2024, to witness the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked didn’t have anything on Jennifer Lopez. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer was a picture, sporting her intricately beaded brown and cream gown and flaunting its bold slit to reveal her very toned figure. The body-hugging halter-neck dress was perfect in design, with two cutouts giving that contemporary touch to the classic elegance. Lopez added a fashionable twist to complete the wardrobe with a beaded bracelet and cream heels paired with a glittery clutch.
They were joined by the star-studded cast of the highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked, consisting of Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, who first portrayed Glinda and Elphaba on Broadway. The dynamic duo is accompanied by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, as they will play out the legendary characters within the film. Other cast members in attendance at this premiere event include Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Ethan Slater, as they dance into this wondrous night.
However, with the absence of director Jon M. Chu who couldn’t make time for the event as his wife was about to give birth to their fifth child, the film’s premiere turned out to be a night that everyone would not forget soon as there were positive responses over the film saying it is a “masterpiece.”.
Wicked is a movie adaptation of the 2003 Broadway hit musical, which explains how the Wicked Witch of the West came to be and her relationship with Glinda, often known as the Good Witch. The film will be released in two parts, the first installment in theaters on November 22, 2024.
