Linda Cardellini will appear in HBO‘s upcoming dark comedy limited series DTF St. Louis, attached in the leading role. She stars along with Jason Bateman and David Harbour in this seven-parter of a love triangle that morphs into murder, and she is now among some big names associated with it. Linda Cardellini will play Carol in the series, though information about her character is unconfirmed.
The project was first announced in 2022 and has since undergone significant transformation. Originally titled My Dentist’s Murder Trial and inspired by James Lasdun’s New Yorker article, it has now become an original story. Pedro Pascal who was attached to the project is no longer involved. In November 2023, HBO greenlit the reimagined series.
Cardellini, a three-time Emmy nominee, is best known for her roles in Dead to Me, Mad Men, and Freaks and Geeks. She also voiced characters in the DC animated series Creature Commandos and starred in films such as Brokeback Mountain and the Scooby-Doo franchise. She recently appeared in Hulu’s Nutcrackers and will soon feature in Netflix’s No Good Deed.
DTF St. Louis is the production company with Conrad, Bateman, and Harbour attached as a part of Aggregate Films, Escape Artists, and MGM Television. Pre-production has started and is moving right along with dark humor spliced in with suspense.
The casting of Cardellini gives the upcoming project a much-needed depth and will mark yet another milestone in her long, distinguished career. The fans eagerly await the show that brings together love, betrayal, and the darker side of human nature.
