Marvel Studios officially released the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World. The film will be released in the year 2025 on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. This is going to be the new sequel of the storyline in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier 2021, and the transition of Sam Wilson into the new Captain America.
This film, directed by Julius Onah, stars Anthony Mackie reprising the role of Sam Wilson, who soon finds himself in the middle of an international crisis, and it is nothing short of action as hinted in the trailer towards which Wilson takes the helm the role of Captain America. The film also introduces new characters, including Joaquin Torres played by Danny Ramirez, Ruth Bat-Seraph played by Shira Haas, and Seth Voelker, leader of the Serpent Society, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
As if Mackie weren’t enough, the film also features all sorts of fan-favorite characters coming back, such as Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader. The trailer gives much hype to the startling transformation of Thaddeus Ross into the Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford.
Captain America: Brave New World seems to be a grounded action movie, with the kind of political thriller tone for The Winter Soldier. Marvel has already begun to step up the marketing for the film, with a teaser trailer in July, showing intense action and the core conflict that would lead to the story. With Marvel fans sitting with bated breath for this film’s release, the trailer has let loose much talk over the direction that Phase Five would take for the MCU, wherein the series would unveil new storylines.
This opens up Sam Wilson’s deeper journey as the new Captain America, along with international intrigue and highly powerful enemies. Fans will see how the movie unfolds the larger story in the MCU, what new directions it will take, and where this beloved superhero saga is headed.
