Lillard’s return raises several questions about the fit of his character in the new installment. Theories over the survival of Stu have been circulating for years, and officially, little has been spoken of his role. The actor himself has fueled anticipation for the new film with his hints over social media regarding his comeback.
The seventh installment of Scream will welcome back a range of legacy players. Neve Campbell is on board as Sydney Prescott, alongside Courteney Cox reprising her role of Gale Weathers. Other faces to expect the same include Scott Foley, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, and Mark Consuelos.
Kevin Williamson will direct Scream 7. The screenplay has been done by Guy Busick, who had previously worked on Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023). James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein of Project X Entertainment will produce this movie.
