Mehidy Hasan Miraz
Celebration from Bangladesh side during Pak vs Bang Test Series

In the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a pivotal role by claiming five wickets, bowling out Pakistan for 274 on day two. Bangladesh, seeking to secure a 2-0 series win after their dominant performance in the first Test, ended the day at 10 without loss, with Shadman Islam on 6 and Zakir Hasan yet to score.

After a rain disruption at the start of the Test, Pakistan got off to a strong recovery after early losing the wicket of Abdullah Shafique, bowled by Taskin Ahmed. Captain Shan Masood came strong in the fightback with a half-century, making 57, and Saim Ayub also played 58. Both fell to the leg-spin of Miraz, however, who finished with excellent figures of 5-61.

Taskin Ahmed gave great support, taking 3-57, and removed the vital wickets of Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan. Pakistan misfired in the end overs, losing wickets at regular junctures, and Babar Azam fell at 31 while Salman Ali Agha scored 54 before his removal.

Bangladeshi bowlers, despite dropping a few catches in the field, kept them in control, and now they will hope to go with the mammoth task on day three.
