Model and NFL player Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo, expresses her deepest sorrow for the communities in LA that have suffered from the continuing wildfires. “My heart hurts for everyone who has lost so much in such a short time. It’s just unthinkable,” she captioned a recent Instagram post.
The fires, which include the Palisades and Eaton Canyon blazes, continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles. Culpo and McCaffrey’s home in Studio City, reportedly purchased last year from George Clooney for $14.5 million, lies roughly 20 miles from the largest wildfire zones.
Gratefully thanking the first responders, Culpo gave thanks in writing: “To our heroes on the ground and in the sky, thank you for your sacrifice and service working around the clock to protect us, our homes, animals, businesses, and wildlife. We are forever grateful for your bravery and dedication.
McCaffrey also took to social media to express his support, stating, “My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these devastating fires. Thank you to all firefighters and first responders for working tirelessly to protect our communities.”
Although the couple did not say whether their home was directly affected, they are committed to supporting those who were. Studio City is between the Palisades and Eaton fires, which officials said have yet to be fully contained.
Rhode Island native Culpo wed McCaffrey in June 2024. The couple connects with the Los Angeles community by joining others in rallying support for fire victims and first responders.
The police are keeping watch of the fire, but sometimes they warn the people in the area of various crews of firefighters, and all of these exert their best efforts in preventing the spread of the flames to the neighboring regions.
