Two years have passed since the sad loss of the famous singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, who lost her life on January 12, 2023, at 54 years of age due to complications from small bowel obstruction following bariatric surgery, just two days shy of her next birthday.
Priscilla Presley posted a touching tribute on Instagram while still reeling from the shock of losing her daughter. “I miss you more than words can say. I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed,” she wrote. There was a picture of Lisa Marie set to a tune: “You Were Always on My Mind,” a song Elvis used to sing.
Riley Keough, the older of Lisa Marie’s two daughters with her second husband, Danny Keough, took to Instagram and paid tribute by posting a vintage throwback of the two of them FaceTiming. The photo shows the smiling pair and is captioned simply with a heart by Keough.
Navarone Garibaldi, Lisa Marie’s half-brother, took to social media to reflect on their relationship. “Sending love and thinking of you today,” he wrote, recalling their harmonious times together. He also accepted that they were against him, but he showed love and missed his late sister till his death.
A musical icon, though equally known for sticking to her family, Lisa Marie Presley is survived by a daughter, Riley, and twin daughters Harper and Finley. Her final rest will be at Graceland, where her son Benjamin Keough lies since his tragic death in 2020.
While the Presley family grieves, it is also given a reminder of the enduring love and legacy of Lisa Marie.
