The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to hold a massive power show in Islamabad’s Sangjani area on September 8, 2024. The rally that is expected to attract large crowds from across the region has become the center of political activity, and party leaders as well as supporters are making massive preparations regarding the rally.
PTI leaders have nevertheless started the rally despite recent changes in its venue. Directives have been issued to reach the party’s ticket holders, assembly members, and supporters to reach the venue in large numbers while each member from nearby areas has been instructed to bring along up to 500 workers.
The event had been arranged under the supervision of senior PTI leaders like Barrister Gohar, and Omar Ayub, among others. They have described the rally as very important to present the party’s political power and public mandate. According to sources, the rally will start at 2 pm, and convoys shall reach the venue from different constituencies.
Against this, the local government in Islamabad has upped the ante by blocking major routes and increasing the number of police patrols. Notwithstanding all these precautionary measures, PTI remains undeterred in its plans. According to leaders like Aamir Mughal, no force can block their show of strength.
As politics in Pakistan takes a turn for newer dimensions, all eyes are on Islamabad as PTI gets ready for what can be a determining moment of its sustained campaign.
