Recently, comedienne Sarah Silverman provided perspective on her trajectory from 22-year-old Saturday Night Live recruit to homeowner and creator of a musical based on her book The Bedwetter. Silverman reflected on her early days on SNL in a recent interview. A dream come true at 22 was joining the cast, but also a bit too much. She said it was an era of discovering my voice in humor and knowledge of sorts. Although she was only on the famous show briefly, it set the stage for a career that has lasted many years.
Silverman said too that her change into home ownership was a turning point in her own life. She said, “Having a house seems like an anchor.” “It’s a location to call mine and it has been quite a trip to reach here.”
Silverman is also turning her novel The Bedwetter into a musical, apart from her humor and personal achievements. Based on her autobiography, the stage show examines her early years with honesty and wit. She said the musical is a work of passion. “Embracing uncertainty and seeing funny in the difficulties of life.”
