The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that Sir Richie Richardson of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees would head up the officiating teams in this three-match Test series, pitting England against Pakistan. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 and will feature the two key venues of Multan and Rawalpindi.

The series is scheduled to begin on October 7, 2023. The first Test match may run through to October 11 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The second Test will also be held here from October 15-19. Rawalpindi will host the final third test from October 24-October 28.

The PCB has ensured that the services of some really experienced officials would be available in the series, and this match also carries that importance. Kumar Dharmasena from Sri Lanka and Sharfuddoula Saikat from Bangladesh, members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will be acting as on-field umpires for the first Test.
