“I realized how Jordan’s story would grow without me,” Garfin explained. “It felt like saying goodbye to a character who had become part of me.”
Parks also commented on the uniqueness of the ending for the series, likening it to the sad endings of some of the classic shows, like Six Feet Under. He was also appreciative of the focus on Clark Kent’s humanity as being central to the show’s narrative. “Clark and Lois are the heartbeat of the story,” said Parks. “It is not really about Superman’s powers; it is about his humanity and connection with family.”
