Taco Bell fans are in for a nostalgic treat this Halloween as the popular fast-food chain brings back beloved menu items from past decades, including the iconic Meximelt. The limited-time “Decades Menu” revives five classic items that originally debuted from the 1960s through the 2000s, each priced at $3 or less.
The Decades Menu is targeting Bell lovers who love these items and the introduction of new generations to these items. “The Decades Menu helps bring generations of fans who remember these favorites, along with new fans looking to try these classics,” the company said in a release.
Back by popular demand, in the ’80s, the Meximelt was at $2.99. The three-decade chain, seasoned beef, a three-cheese blend of mozzarella, cheddar Monterey Jack, and pico de gallo, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Other notable inclusions are the Decades Menu’s ’60s Tostada and the ’70s Green Sauce Burrito, the ’90s Gordita Supreme, and the empanada Caramel Apple for the 2000s. All these deals hit the restaurants on Nov 21.
Each brings a different bygone flavor twist:
- 1960s Tostada: $2.19 Refried beans, red sauce, crispy lettuce, shredded cheese on a corn tostada shell
- 1970s Green Sauce Burrito: $2.49 Refried beans, onions, cheese, Taco Bell green sauce
- 1990s Gordita Supreme: $2.99 Seasoned beef, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and a cheese blend in soft flatbread.
- 2000s Caramel Apple Empanada ($2.99): Dessert featuring apple caramel filling inside a crispy, golden-brown crust.
All of these roll out across the country so long-time Bell customers can have a great ride down memory lane or new customers can get a taste of the Taco of old.
