Taking matters into his hands, NBA star Ja Morant takes over the sole control of his sneaker drop by leaking the design himself. The youth favorite stunned fans by sharing his upcoming collaborations on social media.
On Friday, Morant first released two PE versions of his Nike Ja 2 sneakers with an Air Force 1. The first pair, which is called the “Let Me Be Ja” Ja 2, is dressed in a bold black-and-yellow colorway with patent leather Swoosh logos and the “Let Me Be Ja” on the inner side. Accompanying this, Morant also unveiled an Air Force 1 Low featuring similar design elements, as it marks the first time his logo features on a Nike lifestyle shoe.
Morant unveiled a fun and playful design for his second reveal—the “Ja Raffe” Ja 2. The shoe was inspired by a giraffe named after Morant and features a spotted brown upper with pink accents, making it one of the more eye-catching versions of the Ja 2 yet.
Though “Let Me Be Ja” and “Ja Raffe” sneakers are exclusive-only, many more drop through the year. A Kool-Aid-inspired Ja 2 sneaker comes with brash Blue Raspberry and Cherry Red colorways and is due to drop in May 2025 for a steep price of $130. This collaboration brings the iconic Kool-Aid mascot to the tongue with “Oh Yeah!” printed on it.
Swarovski will be coming with a limited release, termed special collaboration, called Ja 2 to be launched on February 14th, 2025 at $550. Everyone is looking for and eagerly expecting the “Heart Eyes” colorway of the line by Morant. For more information related to the future releases by Morant, updates can be followed up.
