UFC star Conor McGregor is being sued by a 49-year-old Wall Street executive, who is claiming sexual battery in a fresh civil lawsuit during the 2023 NBA Finals in Miami. The plaintiff, who was identified as Jane Doe, alleges that Conor McGregor assaulted her in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center, where the Miami Heat hosted the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 on June 9, 2023.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, also includes the Kaseya Center staff for gross negligence. The plaintiff was allegedly taken to the men’s bathroom by one of McGregor’s associates, where the MMA fighter reportedly engaged in unlawful sexual contact without consent.

Barbara Llanes, Conor McGregor’s attorney, termed the allegations “false,” adding that a previous criminal investigation had no charges filed. The Miami-Dade State Attorney declined to prosecute, citing a lack of evidence.
“My client has no other option but to bring this civil action to seek justice,” said James Dunn, the plaintiff’s attorney. “My client is determined to raise awareness and encourage others to report sexual assault despite fearing professional repercussions.”.

The lawsuit further alleges that Kaseya Center staff continued to serve Conor McGregor alcohol even after he became intoxicated and acted erratically at an earlier time that evening. Significantly, Conor McGregor had attacked the Heat mascot, Burnie, during a promotional skit at the game.

He is suing for over $75,000 in damages, medical costs, and other relief. McGregor has denied all allegations, but this case comes in the wake of a November 2024 verdict by an Irish civil court ruling him liable for damages in a separate sexual assault case.

McGregor, one of the most visible figures in the UFC, has not fought inside the Octagon since his 2021 injury against Dustin Poirier. Legal issues keep looming over his career.
