The much-awaited Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced under the banner of T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, will hit theaters with the cast of Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri. The film is the third addition to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, which was previously known for the two films that were released with immense success, one in the year 2007 and the sequel in the year 2022.
Principal photography of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 began on March 2024 while the shoot was going on throughout various locations such as in Mumbai, Kolkata, Orchha, and Leh. The film was lensed by cinematographer Manu Anand who made sure that the rich and intricate details requested by the story of the film were captured. Challenges came when the leg injury happened to director Anees Bazmee but he took it normally and continued shooting with unrelenting determination.
Its high-level pre-production planning ensured close coordination of the film’s main lead actors and the core production team, which included the producer Bhushan Kumar. The most interesting feature of the shooting of the film was when a majestic set-up was designed in the Film City of Mumbai to depict a song wherein over one thousand background dancers danced through the creative arrangements made by Ganesh Acharya. The flick stars Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, who gets stuck in the spooky happenings of a haunted mansion in Kolkata. Rooh Baba finds Manjulika, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit, as two personas for the vengeful spirit, in this thrilling horror-comedy. The story of this film will take audiences through suspenseful moments and ridiculous twists and turns, all of which are felt by the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.
Triptii Dimri plays the love interest of Rooh Baba, Meera, which adds emotional depth to a story quite spine-tingling most of the time. Other notable actors are part of the ensemble cast. Rajpal Yadav once again acts goofy Natwar, while Sanjay Mishra is the wise old Bade Pandit Jagannath Shastri.

The background scores of the movie have been composed by Sandeep Shirodkar, which elevates the spooky yet comical mood of the movie. Significantly, some old-timers will be recreated from the previous films, like the title track and “Aami Je Tomar,” in order to bring back nostalgia for such fans.
The movie has also sealed a major deal for satellite and music rights as well, which stand around ₹ 135 crore. Streaming rights go to Netflix, while the satellite rights are with Sony and the music rights are retained by T-Series.
