Pakistani actress Shagufta Ejaz has just announced the tragic death of her husband Yahya Siddiqui, who lost his five-year fight against cancer earlier today. She took to Instagram (Instagram link) and shared a photo of her late husband along with the following words: “My husband Yahya Siddiqui has passed away. Kindly recite Surah Fatiha for his maghfirat. JazakAllah.”
The news comes only days after Shagufta celebrated her wedding anniversary in the hospital with her husband bitter-sweet occasion they shared with their family. Their daughter went into the hospital with a cake, and despite all the challenges, they got pieces of happiness cut out surrounded by family.
The actress also looked worried in her vlog regarding the lack of facilities at the private hospital where Yahya was being treated and requested prayers about his recovery from her fans as well.
Shagufta Ejaz and Yahya Siddiqui were married for a long time; it was their second marriage. They have two daughters together; they both have children from their first marriages too.
It began receiving condolences from his fans and fellow actors, many praying for the soul of Yahya Siddiqui to rest in peace and also that Shagufta and her family be given strength by Allah in this testing time.
