According to President-elect Donald Trump, this Friday, a former Fox News contributor, Tammy Bruce is appointed to take up the U.S. Department of State. She will have to work closely with Marco Rubio, the apparent choice for U.S. secretary of state for the new American leader.
“It is my great honor to announce that Tammy Bruce will join our incredible nominee for United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, as Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State,” Trump shared on Truth Social.
Tammy Bruce is the strongest conservative voice on American television since 2005 as a Fox News contributor. She, in the early 1990s, used to be a Democrat and was even an ardent liberal activist but soon started bashing the “Radical Left” while upholding strong conservative principles. The president saluted her as “a very respected political analyst” and for being “on board with our tremendous ‘MAGA’ movement”.
It had been decades, from leadership posts in the National Organization for Women to serving on California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s transition team, before she later became one of Trump’s most ardent supporters.
Statement Statement FOX News has a long history and in a recent statement, thank Bruce for close to 20 years of contributions at FOX News. “Tammy Bruce has been an extremely valued contributor at FOX News Media and wishes her best for her next endeavors,” the spokesperson said.
Bruce will replace Matthew Miller, who began in 2023. Her role as State Department spokesperson is not subject to Senate confirmation, unlike some of the other high-profile appointments.
Several former Fox News contributors have served in the Trump administration. In this way, the Trump administration has even strengthened the bonding of the network with his administration.
Bruce is already a crucial figure in both the media and political campaign of Trump, as an incoming administration begins to take office, one would expect years of experience on top of her ability to deal with media to give the needed thrust to the communication of the State Department.
